Evolving Goldsmiths – Motion

This branch notes:

• The overwhelming opposition to the “Evolving Goldsmiths” programme across the institution.
• That the programme was drawn up without consulting staff and students.
• SMT’s refusal to pause the “Evolving Goldsmiths” programme despite the unions’ request for meaningful consultation over the challenges faced by the College.

This branch instructs our regional official to declare a “failure to agree” with the College as per our Disputes Resolution Procedure and to trigger a local dispute unless SMT agree to pause the process and to enter into formal consultation about how best to secure the College’s future.
