2023 Industrial Action info for members

Week 1 strike [Week 3 term]: Wednesday 1 Feb.

We will picket from 8.30-10.30 then make our way together the national demonstration, assembling at Portland Place from 11am.

Some GUCU members will be running a children’s play area on the ground floor lounge of the Student Union on Wednesday from 8:30-11am. This is for members wanting to attend the picket line with children affected by the NEU school strikes. We will have toys, craft activities and snacks to keep our little comrades occupied.

FUTURE STRIKE DATES

Week 2 [Week 4]: Thursday 9 and Friday 10 February

Week 3 [Week 5]: Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February

Week 4 [Week 6]: Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 February (READING WEEK)

Week 5 [Week 7]: Monday 27, Tuesday 28 February; Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 March

[Week 8]: No strike

Week 6 [Week 9]: Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March

Week 7 [Week 10]: Monday 20, Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 March

On most days pickets will run from 9am-1pm.
