600 staff sign statement opposing “Evolving Goldsmiths” proposals

Nearly 600 people from across Goldsmiths have signed a statement calling on senior management to halt the proposed restructure process contained in the “Evolving Goldsmiths” scheme. The signatories “object both to the process and the contents of the plans” and argue that the centralisation of administrative work will “result in deskilling and worsening conditions for administrative staff”. “It is important”, the statement concludes, “that we don’t just hear the performative talk of transparency, community and social justice, but are actually embedding these principles into the process of consultation.” The full statement is here
